Yes, the difference could be confusing at times but really it doesn’t need to be! Look at it this way, you may not get the best travel deals when you book early but you will get other valuable cost saving promotions such as free room upgrades, resort credit vouchers or discount coupons, and even a price match guaranty.
Now if you can swing it and are more flexible with your vacation booking dates and times, you can save even more money on last-minute travel packages. But when we say last-minute, we mean the last possible minute!
The bottom line is that most resorts and travel package providers do not want to see partial filled rooms. No way as it’s bad for business!
If hotels or all-inclusive resorts are not fully booked or far from capacity, travel discount brokers such as AppleVacations.com, Orbitz.com, Travelocity.com, Expedia.com etc. will do anything to fill the rooms. Even if that means taking a loss in doing so as it’s better to get something rather than nothing at all!
